Join us for a day of celabrating AICE – AI supported picture analysis in large bowel camera Capsule Endoscopy.

The Surgical Research Unit at OUH Svendborg Hospital is the coordinator of the project AICE, which has just obtained a grant of DKK 45 million. DKK from the Horizon Europe framework programme. We hope that you will join ud for the day.

There will be a brief information on the project.

After the reception from 12.00 – 14.00 there will be an open meeting of the CICA excellence center’s steering group focusing on visions and long-term strategy for Camera Capsule technology – you are welcome to join.

The 4-year AICE project aims to create the foundation and address barriers for making AI-assisted capsule endoscopy a part of the future colorectal cancer diagnostics.

Our multidisciplinary team will cover aspects such as validation and development of algorithms, the creation of a clinical support platform, clinical indications and guidelines, patient engagement, cost-efficiency, ethical considerations and future implementation strategies.

The AICE team comprise 12 private and public partners from across Europe, representing many different areas of expertise including health sciences, software development, data sciences, digital innovation and communication as well as social sciences and humanities.
